From the New Testament:

Hebrews chapters 3 and 4 clearly defines the seventh day sabbath as remaining in effect for “the people of God”. Paul also directly specifies it is the exact same day that God rested at the end of creation week. He says if we believe God we will enter into His rest giving an exact description of what that means; that we will cease to work and we will rest just like God did. Paul is also the one who taught us that there is no more Greek or Jew but that we are ALL ONE in Christ Jesus (Galatians 3:28). Paul ends by saying we should strive to enter into that seventh day sabbath of rest and not be like the unbelievers whom the LORD destroyed because of their sin of unbelief.

The apostle Paul who was instructed directly by Jesus Christ said this:

Hebrews 4:3-4
“FOR WE which have believed
DO ENTER into REST,
as He said,
As I have sworn in My wrath,
if they shall enter into My rest:
although the works were finished
from the foundation of the world.

For He spake in a certain place
of the SEVENTH DAY on this wise,
And God did REST the seventh day
from all His works.

Hebrews 4:6
Seeing therefore it remaineth that some MUST ENTER therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:

Hebrews 4:9-11
“There REMAINETH therefore a rest
TO THE PEOPLE OF GOD.

For he that is entered into His rest,
he also hath ceased from his own works,
AS GOD DID from His.

Let us labour therefore TO ENTER into THAT REST, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.”

We can and should worship God everyday of the week; but the fourth commandment is about resting the same way God rested from His work at the end of creation week before sin ever entered into this world.  And since this Commandment was given before sin entered in, it was not added because of transgressions (Galatians 3:19) which was only referring to all the earthly sanctuary laws and the laws associated with the Levitical priesthood which has been ended and replaced by the Melchisedecian priesthood under the New Covenant.  The Seventh Day Sabbath remains a commandment just as much as the other Ten Commandments and hasn’t been changed by God.

From the Old Testament:

Exodus 31:13-17
“Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily My sabbaths ye shall keep: FOR it is a sign between Me and you THROUGHOUT your generations; that ye may know that I am the LORD that doth sanctify you. Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people. Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death. Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a PERPETUAL covenant. It is a sign between Me and the children of Israel FOR EVER: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the SEVENTH DAY He rested, and was refreshed.”

Some might suggest that this only applies to the nation of Israel; but I would like to invite you to read about who God says is part of His spiritual nation of Israel on the post entitled “We’ve Entered Into Abraham’s Blessings”  Thank you and may God Bless you.
