” … and delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked: For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds … ”

As Christians we wonder what has happened to our world and our nation here in the United States of America. I believe that as Christians we should deeply consider what a society that believes it’s not under the law produces. I also think we need to look within our churches, reexamine scriptures and correct the misunderstandings of Paul’s writings that have led to the false belief and teaching that God’s children are no longer bound by His laws.

The apostle Paul did not say we were not bound by God’s moral laws and heavenly sanctuary laws. He clearly stated, ” … being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ… ” (1 Corinthians 9:21) Also in 1Corinthians 7:39, “The wife is bound by the law …”

Do we like the fruit that this doctrine has created? Is God pleased and glorified by a lawless unaccountable people? It’s obvious to me that we can honestly say that this is not a viable form of government that can continue forever. Do we have freedom and safety in a lawless society?

The LORD is exposing the corruption in our nation. It’s disgusting. How did it happen? If we had believed, practiced, taught and enforced God’s laws, then politicians, lawyers, judges, doctors, nurses (abortions/selling baby parts) and everyone else down the line would have been stopped from profiting from the “gifts” that have corrupted godly just judgment. Greed. Covetousness. These sins all lead to death God says.

Not taking bribes and not profiting from sinning was commanded by God and given from the beginning, the LORD warned us not to do it. Looking at it in hindsight, God gave us simple instructions for an immensely good outcome if we had kept it. It’s painfully evident to many believers today that so many things are full true injustices and corruption, but do we consider how it happened and how it got this bad?

Deuteronomy 16:18-20
“Judges and officers shalt thou make thee in all thy gates, which the LORD thy God giveth thee, throughout thy tribes: and they shall judge the people WITH JUST JUDGMENT.

THOU SHALT NOT WREST JUDGMENT;
thou shalt not respect persons,
neither take a gift:

FOR a gift doth blind the eyes of the wise,
and pervert the words of the righteous.

That which is altogether just shalt thou follow, THAT THOU MAYEST LIVE, and inherit the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.”

Jesus warning the people:

Luke 12:15
“And He said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.”

There were people who preferred to reject God’s laws and embrace their own desires. They hated Jesus, they hated God’s laws :

Luke 16:14
“And the Pharisees also, who were covetous, heard all these things: and they derided Him.”

Below, Jesus is clearly stating that God the Father’s laws are binding and applicable to us under the New Testament. He goes on to warn that breaking God’s law causes us to become defiled, not righteous, not forgiven and not covered by His blood. People who are unrepentantly sinning (walking after the flesh) are still under the death penalty of their own sins until they ACKNOWLEDGE they are under God’s laws, they have broken God’s righteous commandments and they repent asking His forgiveness (walking after the Spirit).

Mark 7:20-23
“And He said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.”

Ephesians 5:3
“But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints”

Ephesians 5:5
“For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.”

Colossians 3:5
“Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry”

1Thessalonians 2:5
“For neither at any time used we flattering words, as ye know, nor a cloke of covetousness; God is witness”

2Peter 2:3-9
“And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not. For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly; And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly; And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked: For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds; The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished”

If we couldn’t sin anymore, then God wouldn’t have warn believers not to sin. If there wasn’t an eternal danger for us as believers when we sin by resurrecting our “old man” by “walking after the flesh”, then Jesus wouldn’t have warned us of eternal judgment for continuing in unrepentant sinning (Matthew 18:8-9, Mark 9:43-47; Luke 12:46 “…and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.” that portion is eternal damnation.)

We are bound to obey all of God’s moral laws and heavenly sanctuary laws because that is how we keep His holy covenant. That’s how we will have right to the tree of life. It’s how we overcome this wicked world and how we glorify our Heavenly Father and His precious Son Jesus Christ.

Revelation 22:12-16
“And, behold, I come quickly; and My reward is with Me, to give every man according as his work shall be. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

Blessed are they that do His commandments, THAT THEY MAY HAVE RIGHT to the tree of life, AND MAY ENTER IN through the gates into the city.

For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie. I Jesus have sent Mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.”

Here are a couple of prophecies for the end times. God will send His angels to seal His servants who are signing and crying because of the abominations that are taking place around them. The LORD will also send destruction against the wicked who don’t receive His mark in their foreheads. This is why it’s important that we are not pleased with what’s happening but we are speaking out and acting against the wickedness in this world. We must realize that we are under God’s righteous laws and we are bound by them and accountable to keep them. That’s the only way we can have a godly example that’s also a witness against the abominations of this world.

Ezekiel 9:3-4
“And the glory of the God of Israel was gone up from the cherub, whereupon he was, to the threshold of the house. And he called to the man clothed with linen, which had the writer’s inkhorn by his side; and the LORD said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof.”

Revelation 7:2-3
“And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.”
