STANDING IN THE GAPS
Ezekiel 13:5
“Ye have not gone up into the gaps, neither made up the hedge for the house of Israel to stand in the battle in THE DAY OF THE LORD.”
Ezekiel 13:10
“Because, even because they have seduced MY people, saying, Peace; and there was no peace; and one built up a wall, and, lo, others daubed it with UNTEMPERED morter”
Ezekiel 13:19
“And will ye pollute ME among MY people
for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread,
to slay the souls that should not die,
and to save the souls alive that should not live,
by your lying to MY people that hear your lies?”
GOD’s judgements are coming and it’s called “the day of the LORD”. This prophesied day hasn’t happened yet; it will be occurring under the New Covenant time period. Since there is only one fold, one Body of Christ and through Christ we are Abraham’s children, every born again Christian who is in Christ and keeping GOD’s covenant are called GOD’s children, the children of Israel, the house of Israel.
If we look at Ezekiel chapter 13 with this understanding we see an alarming warning. Christian leaders today are preaching false doctrines of prosperity and peace. They are teaching that there is no longer any penalty, judgement or eternal damnation for unrepentant sinning and they are falsely comforting Christians by promising them peace when there is no peace but judgement and ultimately damnation if the people don’t repent. They are lying to GOD’s people for their own monetary profit, “for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread”. They are polluting GOD by polluting HIS Word, HIS covenant, HIS gospel message.
These false teachers are leading people to eternal death, destruction and damnation. These are the people that should not die who should be living and having salvation and eternal life because of their obedience to the true gospel; but who are instead slain by these lies, “to slay the souls that should not die”
Also by teaching that unrepentant sinning is accepted by GOD and no longer an eternal danger and by promising them eternal life and salvation they are trying, “to save the souls alive that should not live”.
These unrepentant sinners (believers or not) should not live or be promised eternal life because the wages of sin is still death to any unrepentant sinner, born again believers or non-believers. Continuing in daily confession and repentance is still a requirement of keeping GOD’s covenant of salvation under the New Testament. Revelation chapters 2 and 3 are proof as well as many other teachings and parables of the Lord Jesus Christ who came in the flesh and is the Son of GOD the FATHER.
The untempered morter is unrepentant sinning, it is the sand Jesus warns about in (Matthew 7:26). The morter of GOD is HIS truth, HIS love, the fulfillment and the performance of HIS COMMANDMENTS and HIS LAWS, it’s a firm foundation (Matthew 7:24).
THE MORTER OF GOD
Ephesians 4:15-16
“But speaking THE TRUTH in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: From whom the whole body FITLY JOINED TOGETHER and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself IN LOVE.”

“And this is love, that we walk after HIS commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.”

“For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.”

“By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.”

Romans 13:8-10
“Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath FULFILLED the law. For this,

Thou shalt not steal,

Thou shalt not covet;
and if there be any other commandment,
IT IS BRIEFLY comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
Love worketh no ill to his neighbour:
therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.”
Love is the performance of the law.
Love is the keeping of the law.
Love is the goal of the law.
2John 1:8-9

and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ,
HATH NOT GOD.

1John 1:5-10
“This then is the message which we have heard of HIM, and declare unto you, that GOD is light, and in HIM is no darkness at all.
If we say that we have fellowship with HIM, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as HE is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ HIS Son cleanseth us from all sin.
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, HE is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
If we say that we have not sinned, we make HIM a liar, and HIS word is not in us.”
These false teachers we are warned about in Ezekiel and the rest of the Bible are corrupting and polluting GOD and HIS Word. They are calling GOD a liar.
Pease stand in the gap, do what you can where you are and with whatever GOD has given you. Please warn as many people as possible.
