There are two groups of people who believe in GOD.
1. People who believe GOD exists but they reject, deny and disobey GOD.
2. People who believe in GOD, who accept and acknowledge HIM by their continued obedience WHICH INCLUDES CONTINUING IN DAILY CONFESSION and REPENTANCE when they mess up and sin. THIS GROUP OF PEOPLE CONTINUE TO RESIST SIN AND DO THEIR BEST TO OBEY GOD.
No matter how long the first group of people “believe” they will never be saved under those conditions BECAUSE JESUS SAID in Matthew 7:21 “Not every one that saith unto Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he THAT DOETH the will of My FATHER which is in heaven.”
HOW DO WE DENY GOD?
Example of Group # 1
Titus 1:16
“They profess that they know God;
BUT IN WORKS THEY DENY HIM,
being abominable, and disobedient,
and unto every good work REPROBATE.”
The scripture says we deny God not only by what we say but also by what we do or don’t do, it is by our actions, by our works.
HOW DO WE ACKNOWLEDGE GOD?
We acknowledge GOD by obeying HIM and doing the opposite of denying HIM as described in Titus 1:16. We acknowledge HIM by not walking after our own carnal ways which is the same thing as trusting in “our own understanding” but we trust that GOD is smarter and wiser than we are so we deny our own carnal understanding and we obey HIM doing exactly what HE says to do. We deny ourselves, we acknowledge GOD.
Example of Group #2
Proverbs 3:5-7
“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart;
and lean not unto thine own understanding.
IN ALL THY WAYS acknowledge HIM,
and HE shall direct thy paths.
Be not wise in thine own eyes:
FEAR THE LORD, AND DEPART FROM EVIL.”
1 Peter 4:1-2
“ … for he that hath suffered in the flesh
hath CEASED from sin;
That he no longer should live
the rest of his time in the flesh
to the lusts of men,
BUT TO THE WILL of GOD.”
Luke 11:28
“But He said,
Yea rather, BLESSED ARE THEY
that hear the word of GOD, AND KEEP IT”
John 14:15
“If ye love Me, keep MY commandments.”
John 14:23
“Jesus answered and said unto him,
If a man love Me, he will keep My words:
and My FATHER will love him,
and WE will come unto him,
and make OUR abode with him.”
John 15:9-10
“As the FATHER hath loved Me,
so have I loved you:
CONTINUE ye in My love.
If ye keep MY commandments,
ye shall abide in My love;
even as I have kept My FATHER’S commandments,
and abide in HIS love.
1John 2:1
“My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the FATHER, Jesus Christ the righteous”
1John 1:5-10
“This then is the message which we have heard of HIM, and declare unto you, that GOD is light, and in HIM is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with HIM, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as HE is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ HIS Son cleanseth us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, HE is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make HIM a liar, and HIS word is not in us.”
1Corinthians 9:24-27
“Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, THAT ye MAY OBTAIN. And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; BUT WE AN INCORRUPTIBLE.
I THEREFORE SO RUN, not as uncertainly;
so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:
But I keep under my body,
and bring it into subjection:
LEST that by any means,
when I have preached to others,
I myself should be a castaway.”
Jude 1:18-21
“How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts. These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit. But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, KEEP YOURSELVES IN THE LOVE of GOD, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.”
THIS IS A DAILY PRAYER
This is what Jesus taught us to pray and do.
This is a request for daily bread.
This is a request for daily forgiveness.
Luke 11:2-4
“And He said unto them, When ye pray, say,
Our FATHER which art in heaven,
Hallowed be THY name.
THY kingdom come.
THY WILL BE DONE,
as in heaven, so in earth.
Give us day by day our daily bread.
AND FORGIVE US OUR SINS;
for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation;
but deliver us from evil.”
