No. I was born into a sinful world with a body that bears the physical imperfections caused by sins and therefore the nature that desires to sin. Adam and Eve were both physical and spiritual people who were made perfect without the affects of sin, so they had no carnal nature that desired to sin. That carnal nature was “born” so to speak because of the affect of their sin. God’s conversation with Cain reflects this idea.
The misunderstanding and concept of “original sin” being interpreted that we are all born guilty sinners is a man-made doctrine not a biblical one. ONLY UNTIL WE COMMIT A SIN are we charged with the debt of that sin which is “the wages of sin is death”.
Are we charged with sin and therefore the debt that comes from sinning (death) before we actually commit a sin? The Bible says no because “the wages of sin is death”.
Also we have these scriptures:
Ezekiel 18:4
“Behold, all souls are Mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is Mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.”
Ezekiel 18:20-21
“The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and THE WICKEDNESS of the wicked shall be upon him. But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that HE HATH COMMITTED, and keep all My statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die.”
Jesus explained that sin originates from our heart.
Mark 7:20-23
“And He said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man. For FROM WITHIN, OUT OF THE HEART of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.“
John the Baptist was not born sinning either, scripture says he was filled with the Holy Ghost before he was as born.
Luke 1:15
“For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother’s womb.”
Concerning the description of Jacob and Esau, the Bible says they had not yet done good or evil (sin).
Romans 9:11
“For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth”
King David describes being formed and shaped in a body of flesh that had been affected by sin. In a world of sin, his mother conceived him. Hebrews 13:4 “Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed UNDEFILED: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.”
Psalms 51:5
“Behold, I was shapen in iniquity;
and in sin did my mother conceive me.”
The apostle Paul explained it this way:
Romans 7:18
“For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.”
Romans 7:20
“Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.”
King David said that God was his God before he was born. God is not “the God of the dead” meaning those that are dead in sin.
Psalms 22:10
“I was cast upon thee from the womb: Thou art my God from my mother’s belly.”
When God formed us in the womb including our spirit, did he make us sinners? No.
Isaiah 44:24
“Thus saith the LORD, thy redeemer, and He THAT FORMED THEE FROM THE WOMB, I am the LORD that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by Myself”
Psalms 33:15
“He fashioneth their hearts alike;
He considereth all their works.”
Isaiah 49:1
“Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me FROM THE WOMB; from the bowels of my mother hath He made mention of my name.”
Do babies speak lies right after they are born?
Psalms 58:3
“The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies.”
Or does God know that they would speak lies and transgress His laws?
Isaiah 48:8
“Yea, thou heardest not; yea, thou knewest not; yea, from that time that thine ear was not opened: for I knew that thou wouldest deal very treacherously, and wast called a transgressor from the womb.”
