God’s nation, which He calls Israel, has always been a spiritual nation born of the Spirit, born by the will of God just like He told Abraham concerning the promise and birth of Isaac; which was a miracle performed for the purpose of this very point of being born into God’s kingdom by His Spirit.
John 1:12-13
“But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name: Which were born, NOT of blood, NOR of the will of the flesh, NOR of the will of man, but of God.”
Romans 9:7-9
“Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are NOT the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed. For this is the word of promise, At this time will I come, and Sara shall have a son.”
The Body of Christ, whether of the physical seed of Abraham or not, is God’s spiritual nation of Israel, because the point the LORD was making and He wants us to get is that “the flesh profits nothing”. Jesus said in John 6:63 , “It is the spirit that quickeneth; THE FLESH profiteth NOTHING…”.
We are taught by God that He divided all the nations according to the number of the twelve tribes of that same spiritual Israel. There is only one fold, one body, one Holy Spirit we are all baptized into – the only true One Nation under God ruled by God and cared for by Him because we are His children.
Our inheritance as God’s children is the promise of the Everlasting Covenant; we inherit eternal life. He separates the sheep from the goats:
Deuteronomy 32:8
“When the most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when He separated the sons of Adam, He set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel.”
I said all of that to let all God’s children know that this PROMISE belongs to them and they should be strengthened by it and encouraged!
Jeremiah 31:10-11
“Hear the word of the LORD, O ye nations, and declare it in the isles afar off, and say, He that scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him, as a shepherd doth his flock. For the LORD hath redeemed Jacob, and ransomed him from the hand of him that was stronger than he.”
